These things are completely gone I just realized the only place to find any online is from shosource. There is no getting it from the parts store.

A year ago there was like five left on ebay and I waited now there are none. I just threw one out that was still good because I still thought I could just buy one for a hundred bucks or less. I will stop changing them out when I do timing belts from now on.

I noticed Irish pride is good at finding obsolete ford parts maybe he can let me know where he sources them from. I've been buying as many oem parts as I can from now on. I never realized that they could be had for reasonable prices. I have alldata so it's somewhat easy to find part numbers but I can't find a/c o ring part numbers like he did.

I just spent $203 on a sensor from shosource. I've had a shitty day so i'm going to shit post

Up until probably two years ago I thought it was ok how much money i've wasted and sunk into this turd over the years compared to maintaining other vehicles. It's amazing the mental gymnastics I did to convince myself. Needless to say it's very difficult to motivate myself to finish this project. I always had two cars on the road so I could drive the other while I worked on the sho and I never had to throw money at them.

If I didn't have all new a/c components I installed, an engine I just nearly rebuilt and a trans with all new synchros/blocking rings and a quaife, tokicos/eibachs, plus a zex dry kit to install i'd love to watch the car get crushed like the parts car I brought to the junkyard today.

I guess if I had a pristine rust free example i'd feel a hell of a lot better but I don't and I never have. Driving my volvo for the last year and a half was the final straw. I can't believe how nice it rides and handles compared to the sho.

It is truly a sickness i've had one on the road every year i've had my lisence except for two.

Do a Google search on CSS54, looks like Advance and O'Reilly have them for much less than $200.

I can't believe they have it. I mostly buy from rockauto these days so I don't shop around online for the cheapest part then go to the store. I'm so happy I just overpaid by a hundred dollars.

If my car wasn't a turd i'd feel slightly better. Seven grand is crazy

Wow, I have $2500 into my tranny (new quaife, known good tranny, new blocking rings, seals and installation cost) and I thought that was a lot.

That's an insane amount of money to spend on a trans, i'll think about it everytime I get sick over my car. At least your car looks nice in your avatar. I guess it's one of those rare cases where someone could make up their own price no matter how unreasonable it seems. Are you making a lot of power or do you have plans?

I never replied to you about the short shifter. I forgot about it, but I also changed my mind. I couldn't stand shifting into fifth with it but I got used to it. I was so excited for it I wanted one for ten years, but fifth kind of ruins it. I still think about selling it sometimes. Last time I saw one sell it went for 350 shipped like five years ago.

I'm stupid for not purchasing a first gen near me that was in amazing shape. It was listed for a month or two. I couldn't believe it didn't sell. In the end he was asking 1500 obo from what I remember and when I decided to respond the ad was taken down the next day.

Unfortunately I totaled thAt one. That’s why I decided to just go stupid on this one. The original goal was to force a big supercharger faster than any ecosho. But decided a supercharger wouldn’t produce the tq I want so.turbo low compression cammed 3.3l it will be. That’s basically the goal. Take 2nd behind Zach. Full interior.

    No worries. I found another!

I will basically have every upgrade for a sho. But about 20k into a 2000 dollar car:nuts:

I’m stupid for pulling out and getting hit in mine. First saw that car at probably 11 12 years old tried to buy it at 18 and bought it at 24 and totaled it a year and a half later

Now o'reillys and advance are sold out of sensors. I hope someone didn't just buy the rest of them to make money. They are unavailable now. I wonder how bad things will get in the very near future.
