    Hi,

Does anyone know how many cold cranking amps the stock battery (motorcraft) has? It dosnt say in the manual...

I'm buying a new battery (eastpenn) with 750 CCA. Will I be okay?

Im in Toronto so we get up to -30 degrees Celsius in the winter and +30 degrees Celsius in the summer.....

The car is 5 years old and still has the stock battery (never had to get boosted) so the CCA was enough to last this long....

As low as can be lol, probably 650 CCAs. 750 should be a good step up. You can get to 900+ if you get the Odyssey brand replacement.

-30C is not bad at all ;) ;) Odyssey batteries would eat those for breakfast, even with a dashcam running 24 hrs a day.

The CCA of the battery is in the part number of the battery. The factory battery is a BTX-65-650. The battery is a 65 series and has 650 CCA.

Keep in mind there is cranking amps as well as reserve capacity. It can sometimes not all be about how much energy can be available at once, but how much energy can be provided over time.

Got a Kirkland battery (made by Duracell) from Costco for $135 CDN. 850 CCA. 150 RC. Best deal in town!
