Heading to Mason Dixon dragway in Maryland tomorrow for test & tune. I recently installed a Livernois /Alky methanol injection kit with meth tune and thought it may be time to take it to the track again. Hoping to see a noticeable improvement in e.t. but my seat of the pant's dyno is not so sure.

Last time I took it to the track was in the spring of 2018....

Was able to drive home so the day went well. It was in the mid 70's with a da of 1764 ft. Made 6 or 7 passes and played with the gain on the meth injection. No measurable difference between 4.5 to 6 on the dial. Was disappointed with the meth tune as the car really did not go significantly quicker or increase mph. Guess my seat of the pants dyno was accurate. Installed the non-meth tune at the end of the day and it ran almost identical time and mph.

What were the 60' times on the non meth tune runs?

Last two passes of the day. The one on the right was the non-meth tune.

The car had run 13.50's bone stock trapping around 1o4 to 105 in similar weather. With the LMS 3 bar non-meth tune it's best was 12.68 @ 110 but that was at MIR on a 40 degree day.

Ok I spoke with Anthony from Livernois today and he suggested I take it and have the methanol injection tuned at a shop with an awd dyno. Tune when it initially comes in and how much. So I decided to "tweak" the "initial" and "turn on" settings myself on the box. I raised the turn on slightly and backed off the "initial" settings to decrease the amount of methanol being injected because I believe it is running way to fat to be on the safe side. Felt better so I leaned it out a hair more and wow... I think it is waking up. I know I am playing with fire so plan to get something so I can datalog knock retard, fuel trims and maybe IAT's to set it up properly.

Nice. Go get it worked out. You also have some time on the table in the 60' .1 to .2 maybe. What was the tire(s) PSI set to? Launch RPM? And I'm sure you did, but traction control off?

Yes the traction control was turned off. Launching around 2200 rpms. Front tires are at about 32 psi. It would spin a bit but don't feel it was enough to slow it down. Felt more like it was underpowered or bogging. It just won't pull hard out of the hole. My old 89 mustang would pull 1.46 60's, supercharged expedition in the 1.80's. My sho just doesn't like to launch. Have not found the right combination yet... :(

It has launched hard on the street on occasion... the weather has to be perfect and the stars all aligned.... Generally it feels like it is pulling power but with the traction control off.

Drop tire(all) PSI down to somewhere around 25-27ish. My non PP Car likes to launch hard around 1800-2200 RPM side step and it will do 1.7 -1.8 in the 60'.
