Didn't see this til now, the usual stories of love in the comments, THX
The same car is back with a new clutch and 3K in maintenace done, no reserve, nice comments too
Looks like the owner bought his own car back
so much for no reserve auction
Yea well I stopped looking when I saw front slicers were on wrong side.
SHOCH sure knows how to spin 'em!
so the owner bought it back? Hmmm
If you read the comments on the BAT site and click on the buyer's name, you can see he originally bought the car last year. Seems a bit strange as to the explanation given by BAT and being a so called no reserve auction. I supposed this can happen on ebay as well.
The story, from BAT, is in the comments, but here was the convoluted explanation that they bought into. It's only a damn green one, anyway!
"Author: PatrickT Comment: We have been in contact with the buyer and the seller.
The buyer (<a href="https://bringatrailer.com/member/Jackcougar/">@Jackcougar</a>) has informed us that he had previously purchased this car on behalf of his officemate, who wanted the car but was not available to bid on it.
The officemate put the car up for auction here with the help of the seller, <a href="https://bringatrailer.com/member/lauren/“>@Lauren</a>ceLaumbach. <a href=”https://bringatrailer.com/member/Jackcougar/">@Jackcougar</a> had wanted the car for himself, so he decided to bid on it and eventually win it.
The buyer has provided us copies of emails following the previous auction to support this explanation.
We appreciate everyone's concern on this matter. We do not tolerate shill bidding on the site and look into any instances we deem suspect as was the case here.
Looks like the same seller found another SHO to sell, not as nice as the other one. Lets see if its really no reserve
If it wasn't for the rust I'd think about it. And I'm trying to get away from these cars.
