    2016 SHO PP, completely stock.

I'd like to get as much power as I can without major hardware upgrades - preferably none yet - and ideally not have to ship the car somewhere.

And it needs to either pass emissions, or be easily rolled back to stock and re-applied when needed.

Given my probably ridiculous eyeroll-worthy requirements, what's good? What's to be avoided?

And I apologize, I'm sure this is a repost. But I really don't want to jump into the middle of an already long discussion, and I didn't find anything that looked like what I need.

@mattr66 at Gearhead has an auto octane tune that has amazing shifting.

    SCT x4 tuner:
    https://www.ghtuning.com/product/2010-2018-sho-flex-explorer-sport-sct-x4-power-pack/

    LivewireTS tuner:
    https://www.ghtuning.com/product/2010-2018-sho-flex-explorer-sport-livewirets-power-pack/

I have and recommend the Livewire, but the x4 isn't bad either, a very set it and forget it tune that will really wake the car up.

If you want a little more power that is pretty easy to back out of, the XDI HPFP will let you run e30, if you have ethanol available. It only takes a few minutes to swap back to stock since it's right there in front. (heck, even I can do that one)

Get the AD trans mounts too, that will help with wheel hop, you don't have to take those out.

This forum is a wealth of knowledge, if I missed anything, I'm sure guys will chime in... they would probably also recommend Ortiz. @FiveLeeter918 is top notch for customer service and offers a package tune too.

Oh, one last word of advice, be careful... modding these cars becomes very addictive and can be harmful to one's wallet!

I've tried all but brew city and the one we can't speak of, gearhead has been the best with ajp turbo right there neck and neck.

I've seen a lot of trash talk about LMS
from chatter on the board, I guess that means LMS?

What's the deal with that one? Why does everybody hate it?

No I was referring to the one that starts with the same letter twice. I ran LMS for 3 years on my 2011 and it was fine. Only issue I had with them were when I bought my 2015. I wouldn't buy a tune from them again and I wouldn't recommend anyone ever to buy a tune from them. If they still sold downpipes, I would recommend them for that. Mine are up to 5 years old and 100K miles between the two cars and still in great shape.

I still have the LMS V17(?) tune in my '13 non-PP SHO, and cannot recommend it. It only seems to work in warm weather. It will fail to shift from first to second when ever it feels like annoying me. I have experienced a few fast acceleration events, but they are few and far between. Why haven't I switched? I rarely drive my SHO, I never race (street or track), and only bought this tune because I wanted to waste my money. :)

Is there such a thing as a tune that maximizes fuel economy when you're in "D" but turns on all the power boosts in "S"?

Or is that all of them?

It all depends on what you want to do with the car.. if you want something that you can feel I would go with Ortiz and like others have said you cant beat their customer service. Some tuners mask issues by limiting boost and timing and say log looks good. And you get a run of the mill tune. I and a few others have used most of the tuners recommended and some you may not get a reply for months if ever. Others want that easy money and send you a tune tell you to log it and then say it looks good.. which for most is fine... but if you want a revised for your car you need someone like Ortiz to help get you to the top..

Only thing "S" does is turn up the sensitivity of throttle response. It doesn't actually make the car faster.

Would recommend GH as a start, they are by far and away the best place to get into the platform. From there you can decide where to go much easier, would recommend AJP after you get used to GH stuff though.

I think only Nike makes an economy tune for our cars.
do you have E85 around? this will be your big point of power. Any of the GH or Ot tunes on 93 will net you the best bang for the buck in all other stock parts.

I just did the Ortiz tuning package that comes with a tuner, plugs, thermostat and map sensor. I have a 2018 SHO that is stock other than a K&N. I haven't had it on the dyno, but it definitely wakes the car up and is noticeable. It pulls way harder and to me feels more responsive. My only problem with the upgrade was swapping the plugs. I had to replace 3 coil packs because I broke them. If I ever do it again I will probably just take it in and let the experts handle that end of the deal. But it wasn't hard at all if you like to wrench. As for drivability and gas mileage I just did a 700 mile trip and I got right around 22 mpg. But I was hauling ass pretty much the whole time. Car ran great

Perfect! get a power pack from OT or GH and a 93 tune. (E0-91 oct + 2 gallons e85). If you want the most out of it then go E30 tune and xdi HPFP you will be a solid low 400 WHP.
