I was kicking around the idea of getting an intercooler for my 2015 SHO, I haven't done any other performance mods on it. Minis the catch-can I installed, would it be worth it or would I only benefit from this if I had a tune on the car.

Since one of the battles fought is intake temps, yes, a better intercooler would be welcome even on a stock SHO. But I haven't heard of any such units having become readily available ... yet.

To my knowledge, there isn't an intercooler upgrade for the SHO and Livernois claims them to be more than adequate.

In all fairness, have you taken a look at the physical size of the intercooler in an SHO...its massive.

I'll use my sons karate target for reference.

This is 28" long and 14" high.

The SHO intercooler is 27 1/2" long and 16 3/4" high.

    Side note, I'm also 6'4"

The Dodge Demon uses air cooled with the AC compressor to increase peak power. Might look into that.

These cars wouldnt need a tune update and the stock sho intercooler is fairly impressive as is, but if you have no other mods on the car i would recommend starting out with some minor bolt ons first as these cars are night and day difference with just a few mods!

Not to step on Livernois toes, but I imagine the bolt ons will consist of the following.

    3 bar MAP
    Cooler Plugs
    T-stat
    Air Raid CAI
    Downpipes
And of course their tune to get the most out the above list.

However, a tune will be needed for the 3 bar and t-stat. So if you take those away, the CAI and downpipes (catted of course).

Everything on this list would be in that category of bolt ons i was talking about after those mods you have meth injection and upgraded turbos on the horizon!

Water cooled might be an option for you. I had great results with it on my Legacy Spec.B
