    Ive got a $600 negative/transparency scanner in the mail.

    It made it to less than an hour away (spokane), and then.... Natural Disaster????

    Im sure glad I paid for insurance!! :nut:

    I had something like that, i was waiting on tires from UPS and there was a huge snow storm, i believe it said natural disaster or something to that effect, delayed shipment for a day

    Is that windows 2000 lol, enough windows jeez. But that happened to my dad He ordered BMW mats for his car and they came from Germany, and they got to florida during one of the huricanes.

    He's only got five windows open, I mean it's firefox so he has 0 MB of free memory but it is windows 2000

    YES it means the truck could have had anything from blown up to ran off into a river. Natural Disaster is UPS' catch all for why a package is missing/delayed.

    Yep, Im still running win 2k Pro

    Has been great for me. Just checked the install date. last time I did a fresh OS install was back in 2004:swing:

    She is starting to load up a bit, but 4-5 programs all running at the same time is still doable.

    It is an old AMD 2200+, with 2gigs of RAM.

    Right now Im prepping for a clean install of XP.

    They updated it last night....
    It is on the move again.

    But the delivery date got pushed back 'til monday.

    I dont know what to expect.

    I half expect it to come, repackaged, and full of lake-water :munch:

    Well, it came. Seemed to have survived the natural disaster :woo-hoo:

    Nothing wrong with it at all!

    Idiot who packaged it set it in a bed of packing peanuts without wrapping it in plastic first, so it got some peanut particles behind the glass scanning bed, so I had to tear it apart to clean it. But Ive got it cleaned up, and is scanning some sweet negs.

    At full res, the images are 80 megs each :munch:
