I have a 2014 with the premium Sony sound system and I have developed a rattle in the back when songs with a lot of bass come on. Is this a common issue with an easy fix? It looks to me like the whole piece under the rear windshield is rattling around...

Do you have the rear windowshade? Put it up, and see if it still does it. Some people have said the shade not retracting fully causes it. My 2013 had no rattle, my 2016 did, my 2018 doesn't. On the 2016, I could see that the shade, when retracted was not straight.

Also, be aware that even though the rattle may sound like it's coming from the rear, it could actually be coming from elsewhere. I had a rattle in my 2011 that I swore was the rear sunshade. I pulled the rear seat, package tray, and sunshade, added foam, reassembled, and there was no change. One time when my daughter was in the backseat she said she thought the rattle was from the front. I then thought the rattle was from the headliner near the grab handle on the passenger side, but while trying to figure out how to pull the headliner I notices as I started to lower the sun visor on the passenger side the rattle went away. There was a wire harness above the passenger sun visor that was rattling against the top of the headliner. I put a little piece of speaker box carpet around the low point of the wiring harness and voila - rattle was gone.

I suggest only listening to Dan Fogelberg and Yanni... this will prevent any rattling due to too much bass....

No different with the shade up or down unfortunately. How easy it it to take out the liner in the trunk or remove the rear deck to see what is drive me crazy?

Not super hard, the corner pieces that go from the window to the roof were the most difficult to remove for me. They are basically clipped in, the main clip being extremely tight. Might help to take the foam pieces on either side of rear seat out first. I don't remember if those were necessary or not, but I already had those out as well as the rear seat.

The entire felt part comes out as one piece after those other pieces are removed. There are also a couple (3 I think) of squishy pieces at the very back that appear to be aimed at removing rattling. It could be one of those isn't seated properly.

Getting everything back together correctly is much more difficult that removing it all.

Above is for the rear deck liner.

The liner of the trunk is super easy, can probably have that out in 5-10 minutes. Just a bunch of black push pins that a trim remover tool will pop them out easily. There are also two thumbscrews (if you have a cargo net, it hooks onto these). If I remember right, you have to first remove each side liner, then the main liner comes out after that.

You have to pull the rear seat side bolsters to remove 2 bolts for the c pillar trim. The very bottom clips into two bolts that you have to pull up and over to get out, then the bolster slides up and out.

There is velcro that holds the parcel tray in. The tray itself doesnt quite pull strait out so take your time.
