LMAO Let me know if you find something, I have spent a couple 100 hours trying to find some "performance" shocks for the SHO, unless someone started making them they don't exist. You may find a performance company that makes a general purpose shock that fits but no one makes them for the Taurus and that still leaves you with the struts. Best I can figure the general consensus is the OEM shocks are your best bet. I actually hope I'm wrong and you find something.

Honestly I don't know if there is a difference in the PP shocks, but yea if I remember correctly from the many threads, the best shocks with the least amount of issues where the OEM ones. I think Monroe and maybe KYB do make shocks for the SHO but there not heavy duty or anything, BUT I gave up about a year ago, so it could have changed by now.

The PP and non-PP are different part numbers so there is some differences. $5 says you will not find anything that is direct fit better than OEM.
