Gen III Timing Chain

Recently got a 97 with spun cams. Motor is out and am replacing it with my 99's motor. Was thinking of replacing the timing chain as long as it's all apart but can't find them anywhere. Does anyone have any resources for new ones? I have several used ones already. Thanks in advance!

If they aren't really stretched it shouldn't be a big deal. You have a ford part number?

 

Parts.ford.com doesn't list 1997 Taurus at all so i'm unsure of the part number. It's a higher mileage motor that I'm putting in so I just thought it'd be easier to replace now rather than when it's all back together.

i would be the same from 96-99. I would bet that they are about extinct with all the cam failure head replacements over the years.

 

Right, no Taurus' (Taurusi?) Are listed in that Gen. Thanks anyways. (Sidenote: i'm trying to use tapatalk which is mostly impossible and I couldn't even tell you what thread I posted this on lol)
