Hello All, Just joined in hopes of finding someone who has intimate knowledge of the original emission equipment (mostly EGR valve and controller/computer numbers). I am using the complete drivetrain (1994 MTX 3.0) for another project which must still comply to our strict(stupid) emissions regulations for registration to be street legal. I have purchased Factory Manual sets for 1989, 1992 and 1994 in hopes of clarifying what should be with the engine when time comes to get my BAR decal from the Referee. According to the manuals, it looks as if all 3.0 MTX 1992 and earlier SHO's had an EGR circuit for California vehicles and NO EGR on 49 State vehicles. Looking at the 1994 Manual and EVTM, it appears that only the 3.2 ATX SHO had EGR and that the 3.0 didn't. Was this the time when 49-state vehicles went away and Ford made all of them to California compliant becoming 50-state vehicles for all? I ask because I may have to 'educate' the emissions referee about the reason my 1994 SHO has no EGR circuit. I want to be prepared and limit the number of surprises to my engine transplant project. Thanks to anyone who can illuminate things with definite facts.
