Hey guys/gals. I found a 91 semi plus wht/blk SHO for sale in my area. 73k miles. Dude says it's a barn find and runs/drives ok. Needs a cam sensor. I'm going to look at it tomorrow at 11. I have a '15 now but haven't had a first gen since my blk/blk 90 in 04(hence the screen name). I'm sure it needs a 60k but what are some of the other areas I need to look at? Rust won't be an issue. Also the car is listed for $2k so I'm probably gonna buy it anyways but a good look over shouldn't hurt.

Are you sure it is 73K and not 173K. Did you get a vin number to run a check to verify the mileage. I've seen cars for sale that have gone well over 100K and the seller is asking 2K or more.

Judging by the interior and shape of the car I'd be willing to bet on 73k. Plus it's been in a barn for 10 years.

If that is the case, you found a great find. Post pictures after you pick it up.

Oil leaks and the usual. What you want to think about is how old the gas is in the tank and if you have to drop it and clean it out

If its really been in a barn for a decade, then you need to make sure all the electrical stuff works properly, because the rodents like to lunch on wiring and build nests all over inside. If its been sitting that long, it will have oil leaks, you just need to plan to replace vc gaskets, etc. to fix that. Its the wiring stuff that can make you crazy if the critters have been chewing on it.

I bought it.it needs work. Idles rough sometimes, tach works sometimes, interior needs a thorough cleaning. Seats are in good shape. It is a plus which is nice. The files are to big to post from my phone though. I'll figure out how to resize and post them.

That didn't work. Lemme try again.

I give up. How do you post pics from a phone? I put the pics on Photobucket then clicked the image button to upload them. Nada. Wtf man?

Photobucket is not the hosting site you want to use anyway, they will hold your photos hostage. I would recommend imgur currently.

You tried posting the direct link in the image box?

I tried the image button with 2 different links off PB, and I tried the upload a file button. I'll get on imgur and give that a shot.

The above results in a "404 not found" error for me...

wow, looks great. Without seeing the brake pedal, I'd guess it is legit @ 73k.

How is it running now? I assume you did an upper 60k with the photos.

It runs decent. Needs a cam sensor. I'm in the process of doing the 60k. The brake pedals were swapped. Just going off wear inside I'm thinking 73k. A rough 73k.
