Hosted by Off Road SHO and his lovely assistant, Mitzi.

Where: Dooleyville (North Phoenix or South Cave Creek) Map upon request.

When: Sunday, March 7th or Sunday, March 21st. (Jason and Mike let me know if either of those dates work better for you out of towners)

Time: The Shop will be available (with the lift) from 8 A.M. so if you have some minor under-car work you need to do, get there early. Cooking will commence at around 4:00 PM and eating at 5.

What: We will provide the Carne Asada and Pollo Asada and hot dogs for any kids that might wander in. If you can bring a dish, please do. E-mail [email protected] what you plan on bringing so we don't end up with 5 potato salads. We have soda and beer (Corona, MGD, Miller LITE, Bud Light). Please, no hard liquor; anyone exhibiting the slightest tippsyness will be tackled, their keys to their SHO taken from them and all the neat stuff will be taken off the car and hidden out in the desert. Nothing like trying to find a cold air intake out in the cholla cactus to sober oneself up.

Please let me know by wednsday night if you can make it.

:)

Wow Tom, sounds great.

Either day will work for me/us (wife might want to get away from all this snow we just got on fri).

minor work eh? my SFC's will be here on Friday March 6th. Those considered minor? Can't imagine it would take long to put those on, but I never welded anything before.?

I will make a batch of mike's famous DOHC 24V choc chip cookies and bring a sam's club package of burgers.

Oh, and I was wondering where you hid that emergency brake handle...looks like its in the pickers......I will bring my gloves.

Tom,

I will check with work and see if I can take some leave. We have lost a lot of people due to deployments and I have been working crazy hours. I have heard that I cannot take leave, and I have also heard take leave and don't worry about anyone back here. I'll let you know. I am sure I can make it the 21st.

I'll give you a call by Wedensdsay.

This going to be a blast. thumb I maybe able to have the car out there now that I have the complete intake back.

Arrggh! This is going to be a pain. It looks like the 21st is going to work out better for us also. Mike, can't you bring your visitors with you and SHOw them Scottsdale or something and then feed them Carne Asada and then head for home?

We can do your SFC on the 7th maybe?

Let's plan on the 21st for the Bar-b-que.

Tom,

Wow, that would be slick to do, however, the folks who are coming (grandma and grandpa) are traveling all day saturday from kalamazoo mich to arrive at our place around 10:30 pm. They will spend sunday with the grand kids (the ones they havent seen for 6 months), so unfortunately a Phoenix visit to see cars and stuff is not high on the list.....

You dont have to take special time away on the 7th to help me work on my car....that seems like a hassle for me to suck up your day of rest.

I will vouch for the Ivey special 24V DOHC cookies. I couldn't have buffed out the white horseman without 5 or 6 of those bad boys thumb

I think I got one heck of a deal on that. Car still looks pristine (for being 14 years old).

Guy at work called it the "fire breathing ford"

And now with the sticking throttle......

WhoHa what a ride that must be.

and I read my post above and think "man, I must have been frazzled, I dont even remember posting that message (at least not the second half of it" Seems Dooleyville has a few too many mods with post edit capabilities.

This is the new guy. I am not a kid anymore, and I have no experience in chat rooms, so kindness and patience for the old guy is appreciated.

I will try and stop by the Bar B Q.

Drove MY (Use to be Chris Benvie's)silver SHO back from Midland, MI. There is nothing like a road trip in a well maintained and set up SHO to put a smile on an old guys face. Did it in two and half days.

Chris is a fine young man and has been very helpful. This is my second SHO. I bought a 90 MTX Black on Black new and drove it for ten years. After moving to AZ discovered the folly of Black, so traded it on a silver 300M, which goes back in June.
