Hey everyone. My passenger side engine mount on my 89 SHO broke and I need to put in an entirely new one. The problem is that I can’t find any replacement parts anywhere on the internet, but I’m not giving up. Does anybody here know where to find some engine mounts?

I'm assuming that you mean the front mount? Both engine mounts are on the passenger side.

You can repair your existing mount or you can buy a solid mount from SHOSource ready to install. There are several threads about repairing the mount if you search for them. New replacement mounts are not available.

I probably have a decent used one if you get desperate or want to save money.

Get the reinforced mounts if you plan on keeping the car awhile.

Can't agree strongly enough. The aftermarket (if available) are not durable and OEM Ford units are long gone. Get one that has been beefed up. Even reinforced ones can fail but they are the best available. These are high failure items on this car.. Or do what Nimz did and chain it down. :salute:

SHOSource claims that they have only ever had to replace one of their mounts due to failure. I've had a SS front mount on my 91+ since 2010 with no issues.

Yep, chaining it down is an old school fix! Motor mounts in years past were always soft and sloppy, even when new, so I had a few cars with the engine chained down. And on AMC cars, we would chain the trans tail shaft to the frame rail, as the shift linkage would bind under hard acceleration!
