Personally I would like a "SHO" one, seems like it would be pretty easy once you gt the first one done.

I asked him about doing a "SHO" one and he said sure. But then I never heard back from him. I needed a new hold-down when I got an Optima battery. Not to hurt any feelings, but I've always thought "ecobeast" is stupid. So I ended up making my own from a stick of aluminum bar that I purchased at Lowe's. It's just a basic bar with a couple of holes drilled in it. I think it cost me 5 bucks.

Just received an email & they are taking pre-orders, finally.

Placed my order yesterday plus there was a price drop. Can also get different finishes & get custom cut out like SHO or whatever you like.

FWIW - I ordered an purchased one of the "SHO" battery tie down's and I was not impressed at all, for the record I got exactly what I ordered but not what I wanted. First problem it does not really fit, I have to spread the tie down bolts about a half inch or so to get it on, I was informed by the company "The factory tie down has some variances in them from one vehicle to the next." OK How about making one that fits my car. Second issue is, its real thin, I like to ensure my battery is very well secured, if you crank down on the bolt's it bends the tie down. I would assume the angle of the bolts on my specific car makes it worse, but then you would have to make one that fit the "SHO". I guess if your factory one no longer fit this would be an option but it is in no way as good as original. I threw it in my tool box in case I have a need down the road but I would not feel comfortable using as my everyday tie down. BUT THAT IS JUST ME!

Mine fit just fine. Unless he changed something, the thickness is more than enough. If your tightening the hold down enough to bend it, thats way to tight.

That's what he said, do you work for EcoBeast, LOL Look I wanted it to work but given that I have to push out on the bolts to get it to fit an, really can't tighten it as much as the stock one its not for me, I like its look but its not worth the battery coming lose for something no one will see.

Maybe just enlarge the holes a little bit so it doesn’t push the bolts out? If you don’t want to do that I would just post it in the for sale section I’m sure someone would want it.
