Currently have a full take of 93 no ethanol. Wondering if 2/3 gallons of E85 would help or hurt going to the track tomorrow.

I know some have had great results with a bit of E85 even without being tuned for it. The problem is that you have no idea what your fuel pressure will be with the mixture. Too low and you have the potential for big trouble.

Are you sure your 93 isn't E10? Either way, a gallon or two of E85 to a full tank of 93 probably wouldn't hurt. It won't help as much as it would if you were tuned for it, though. By the way, going to the track with a full tank is additional weight that you don't need.

A couple gallons of E85 will be perfect! It will be enough to stave off any KR without negative impact to fuel pressure.

Of course this is assuming a healthy fuel system.

I would do it.. LMS limits total amount of spark added, and any spark taken away from KR will hurt your ETs... a couple gallons of E85 will prevent that.

If you have 93 with no ethanol, definitely add some E85. Tomorrow morning might be pretty good in Rock Falls. Supposed to be cooler. Yeah, I would try some corn for sure. You should add it where you live and drive to the track with the mixture. As Steal says, this is assuming a heathy fuel system and there is no reason to think it is not.

Livernois has a race tune. Do you have that?

If you are running their race tune, I highly recommend an E20ish mix... livernois recommends race fuel mixed in with their race tune..... E85 is a decent substitute.

So with 16 gallons of 93 0 ethanol and 3 gallons of E85 that puts me around E13 95 octane

I know Rock Falls was rained out today. Brainerd is running street legal drags on Wednesday night if you are interested.

Only $25 to run as many times as you want. Only street legal cars are allowed but many are barely legal and brought in on trailers. It is basically a test/tune session. There is everything from beaters who run in 16 second range to modified Corvettes that run in the 10s. Brainerd is a really professional track - supposedly one of the best in the country.

The only drawback is that the event starts around 5 PM when it is usually hot and humid. Also, it can be very busy and sometimes you sit in the staging lanes for awhile waiting for the cars ahead of you to run. I am always a tenth or two slower at Brainerd than when I can run at Rock Falls in the morning but it is a good way to see how your car performs.
