Good read, and great information from all except that "We can't run E85 comment..." lol

I've yet to run actual E85, but the car handles pump E74 just fine with 2900 psi fuel pressure at 18 psi and 28 degrees of spark :)

Do all the fuel lines have to be replaced?

nope, the SHO lines are all epdm and aflas, so it's ethanol compliant.

I just have the mods in my signature.

So all I really need to do is upgrade the two pumps and tune?

Yes, with the XDI-35 and the DW300c, according to Matt at GH, it struggled to provide enough fuel when running full e85. It sounded like it worked, but it was right there on the edge. I've got the XDI-60, DW300c, and a set of XDI +50% injectors, so I know fuel supply will be an issue once I get this thing finished. One of the reasons I've been working on that surge tank project. Not much progress on that front yet as I've had a ton of things going on and it's not as easy as it sounds since our vehicles utilize PWM returnless fuel systems. I'd like to keep that functionality but I don't think the stock fuel pump control module can handle the current needed to run multiple pumps in a surge tank setup. Which means go to a bigger module, but the stock module receives event notifications from the PCM that I'm not sure how an aftermarket one will respond. So one answer is using Solid State Relays, but then you run into cost issues with higher resolution relays that are usually needed to control high output PWM fuel pumps...Radium has some pretty trick stuff and they just dropped their brushless pump (requiring way less current) setup so it sounds promising, but expensive lol. Injector Dynamics is another conpany on the cutting edge of PWM fuel delivery systems but super pricey stuff too.

LOL...so you see this project can find itself spiraling into a deep rabbit hole that I haven't had time to really delve into at the moment...

yes in our experience. We've only one 1 e85 10-12 SHO model and it did struggle a little with fuel pressure on full e85, but his DW300C was doing some weird stuff from the start so I haven't gone to much detail troubleshooting it. We've done several E85 2013+ cars with no issues though.

Can't speak for what Matt's doing, but it works great for us.

Sure, I can't seem to find them on my tablet or in our ticket system, which likely means the logs are on my work computer which is in our bedroom right now. I'll pull them in the morning and post some data.

720 CHP would equal about 500 bhp, right? I'm assuming 30% drivetrain loss.

The drivetrain loss on this platform hovers between 23% and 24%.

That seems insanely high for a fwd vehicle with awd on launch only.

Doesn't matter what it seems. It is what it is.

Stated CHP (from FMC) has consistently remained the same throughout the GEN4 (2010-2012) & GEN5 (2013 and up) production runs.

    That being 365.

Throughout the years, stock dyno pulls, (literally stock with no mods whatsoever) have consistently ranged from 277 to 285 on average.

Thus the previously stated 23% to 24% loss ratio.
