Let the rebuild begin!
Nice. Now's your chance to install driver's side bullet-proof glass and kevlar-lined propane reservoirs in b pillar for anti-car jacker torches. Maybe even some go-go gadget heat seeking missles for those pesky late model minivans that now have the ability to pwn a Gen 3 SHO (sorry folks, the coffee's *primo* this am)
All joking aside, it's good to see such OCD (AHEM!) I mean dedication for the car that I'm also crazy about.
Good luck with it, and keep us posted with pics.
You have a beautiful car. Thank you for keeping it on the road. Glad the insurance deal worked out. Looking forward to the finished product!
The rebuilt has begun
The car has been on the back burner where I am having it worked on. I fully have been on board with that being it hibernates each winter anyway! They are back to working on it and want to have it done by the end of the month (or so). The b-pillar and quarter panel you see are 100% new parts and yes they were hard to find! I am using some used doors I found in Texas (zero rust). Cost on the new doors was just crazy and I found two good used ones so I went that route. As I get new pics I'll keep updating.
Good work! Keep at it.
I got my '98 SHO back yesterday. Still needs a couple things, but nearly a year after the accident (5/24/16) she is back on the road!
Thank you for repairing and saving another SHO
