Even harder the second time around. I picked up Chastity from storage today and during the 20 mile ride, I tried to devise ways of keep the car, it runs great, it looks..great..<< and blah blah..Well, I sold it today to a couple nice guys who want to get into SHOs. I should have warned them about the fever, but the weren't just kids, they were into cars...So they'll have fun and I am down to three.
If I keep Sylvia, I'll have to do the bodywork, cause I can't stand looking at the shitty wheel wells, but it has a great stereo, full power, doesn't leak, is MTX, nearly perfect interior, and I put the ss brakelines on it, or half of it anyway. Babe and Ginger ride and run great, but I've grown not to like the ATX much, compared to M.
Ginger will be hard to sell cause its got some problem with the VAPS, I've flushed three times-once professionally and its still goofy. Doesn't really bother me cause I know what its doing and I'm safe, but if you never felt it in the steering, it is a bit disconcerting. Not sure what to do about the problem, but of course $$$ is tight and my hands are kinda shot for big work like steering racks etc...

The red 94 that I had for many years had vaps issues too - it couldn't decide whether to be at high boost or medium boost when you were at highway speed, so it was a little strange cornering... Some guys have solved that by pulling the connector off the rack, so its always at high boost. If you figure out a way to do that while its moving at around 40 mph, you can have it always in medium boost. There are threads on the forum with details, if that would help Ginger.

So I got to ask, how much did it cost those guys to take your chastity?

    OOooooh....

well put!..I'm still laughing while I type-- 2300

They did take my Chastity, but as I said, they were very nice guys...
And Fred, thank you again, we had this discussion when I got Ginger. And I thought of a way...you would need to splice into the two ( I assume) wires going from the connector and have long ass wires out the hood through the window to a passenger and they could "cut" the wires when you say !NOW!...Actually think that would work??

But never you mind. I do think I might try unplugging it in the driveway and just drive around a bit and see how crazy it is to be only at high boost. Is it actually low- medium- high??, rather than just increasing or decreasing its boost incrementally ??

iirc, there are 3 distinct levels, which is why my red 94 was weird as you tried to corner as it bounced back and forth between higher and lower boost.

I think you would only have to extend one of the wires and add a switch. It might be worth searching for the detailed threads. And its not hard to just disconnect it and drive it a bit to see if that makes it better.

    Thanks again Fred.
I'm gonna try that disconnect idea first.
And...what the hell, I went and got ginger this morning and her "gingerness" orange-ness underneath the car..had one of the gas tank straps let go while it was sitting over the winter, So....so as not to litter the highway with burning fuel and a flying gas tank at the drivers behind me, we had it towed and the guys'll put new straps on, then..I can start showing it for sale.

straps and labor 115..I'm happy, w/o a lift, I didn't want to do the job and would have had a hard time alone. He said, when they started to lift it, the other strap broke...fortunately, no one hurt and good call on my part not to drive to drive it, but use a free AAA tow. I love AAA. Four free tows a year up to 100 miles each, A hundred miles is like an 800-1000$ tow I think these days
