I love the SHO, bought my first one, a 1991 Electric red back in 1991 when I returned from Desert Storm. Since then have had about 5 different ones, the last one is sitting outside in front of the house waiting on the last trip to the SHO grave yard.

This past December during a winter storm Mother Nature decided to administer the final blow, sending a large tree branch crashing down on the car just aft of the rear window, breaking her back. She was the best SHO I ever had, extremely reliable and just fun to drive, one of those rare early 1992 models with only one air bag.

Turning 60 years old shortly, and having suffered a stroke 2 years ago that affects my vision, I guess it's time to remove myself from the SHO owners club.

It's been a fun, and sometimes frustrating (the '91 Mocha Frost and the '93 red cars especially frustrating) ride. Keep finding those SHOs and keep them running.

More power to ya bro and glad that you stuck with it so long. I truly feel and understand where you're coming from and honestly wish you the best in all your ventures.

Your post came at a pivotal point in my own S.H.O. career and I was planning on sleeping in the decision that a true enthusiast proposed to me about my final S.H.O. and I think the decision is made.

I wish you the best and we all hope to hear from you from time to time whereas I'll also keep the updates coming. Ya gotta do what's right for you man. SHOspeed my brotha...

This "turning point" in life SUCKS! Glad tho you have enjoyed the mystique of the SHO :) Perhaps a Gen 4/5 may be in your future. Best of luck in your recovery, it is indeed very difficult to function with impaired vision, very few people will understand your particular circumstance. Godspeed.
