Since we have a thread for tint, I figured a thread for caliper colors might not be a bad idea to help other out in deciding on a color. So here is my contribution. 16 bronze fire with Rust-oleum Specialty Ultra High Heat Aged Copper. 20180520_153835.jpg 20180520_153835.jpg

Calipers and bracket was removed and seperated, wire wheeled and then sprayed with about 3 coats and reassembled. I will admit that the backside of the caliper was not painted. The calipers were painted on car without removing the rubber brake lines. Tape and newspaper to protect from over spray.

Wasn't hard to do. Brush on makes it nearly impossible to screw up lol. Down side was waiting for it to dry to install wheels and be able to drive her. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Both look great, I like the idea of painting the calipers. I'm trying to decide on the color I want to go with. Car is black but I was thinking of painting the calipers Ford "blue".

You used a brush? Included with that G2 system? Looks great man! Where did you get the rotors?

Yes, used the brush included with kit. Really wasn't hard at all.

Power stop brake kit. Was called the Top Cop package. From Carid, don't think they sell it anymore.

    Thanks, dopey me.

Side note: I noticed from the first time I drove the car at high speeds that when I apply the brakes, you can feel and hear the pads vs rotors. No bad noises or anything, but it seems a little rough. Considering how smooth the car rides and handles with everything else.

Car is a 2015 with less than 15k miles. I chalked it up to a 4300lb vehicle going 90+mph so there would be a lot of friction.

    Does this sound normal?
I figured when the time came I would replace rotors with something like these slotted discs.
Always had issues with Ford rotors.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

You probably should've posted your question in the maint/troubleshooting section. It'll get more views and comments. If there's no grinding or vibration may be nothing. But it doesn't hurt to pull the wheels and do a visual of rotors and pads.

Looking forward to more pics. Been going back and forth or what color would look great with the black car and gloss black wheels. I'm wanting a pop color but nothing to ricey. Whatever I choose I'll likely powercoat the strut bar to match.

I've been toying with the idea of MGP covers. Anyone know which shade of blue matches the ovals best?

I snagged some covers from Amazon. May not be everyone’s taste, but I like them a lot.
