I made it down to Florida Sunday, no issues at all. Monday we were going out for our first adventure and car hesitated and I could smell fuel. Later that day car started but not long after it started hesitating again and fuel smell. Very soon after that it sounded like my transmission fell out and I got a bunch of smoke and burning oil smell. Got her into a parking lot and parked her. Put the stock tune back in so it could get towed to the dealer. When I tried to pull it forward it drove and sounded like a flat tire, with no flat tires. Seriously worried.

Codes thrown are U0140 and C101a. Ford roadside assistance still hasn't secured a tow to a dealer for me after talking to them twice. 40700 miles on car.

Really, will an injector throw those codes and make it drive like a flat. The whole inside of the car smells like oil

The stink from the PTU fluid is pretty defined compared to oil. I’d lean more towards turbo

There are four basic codes: P (Powertrain), B (Body), C (Chassis), and U (comminication). The codes won' cause this, but since you flashd it back to stock my understanding of O.E.M. updates is this will clear stored codes.

Your fist image seems to have oil on the PUT, but the turbo is above this. Easy way to tell between gear lube and oil is feel. The gear lube is thicker. Easier yet, pull the dipstick. Low, probably oil

I have seen turbos fail and dump LOTS OF OIL in the exhast and make LOTS of white smoke.

So Ford roadside assistance finally, after 4 different towing companies got my car picked up they took it to a Lincoln dealer. Even though they passed a Ford dealer on the way. Now they have to have my car towed from Lincoln to Ford. I can't imagine if this had happened to my wife out alone with our daughters. The service is deplorable and Fords lack of compassion makes it worse.

So sad they are treating you this way :( A blown turbo and/or feed line does look more likely at this point, but I would have the injectors verified also. Really hope the dealer gets your SHO fixed up correctly. Have to keep a sharp eye out from what I hear.

My car was finally picked up at Lincoln and brought to Sun State Ford. Unfortunately its too late for them to look at it. So far two towing companies didn't show up, 2 brought the wrong truck to tow an AWD, 1 brought it to the wrong dealer, 1 showed up at the dealer with the wrong equipment and finally 1 showed and took my car to Ford. Every one of these towing companies were contacted by Roadside assistance. The Lincoln dealer thankfully actually felt for my family and the situation and made sure my car was picked up and brought to Ford. He is also filing a formal complaint on the Lincoln side for them to cross over to Ford. I will be filing also since I am now incurring rental fees, which should be covered for 10 days under my agreement.

If it is a blown turbo or feed line, how much time am I looking at?

pretty easy peasy to fix. hope you are not out of pocket, but about 2 hrs labor for front turbo, 6 or so for rear turbo is typical book time. easily done in a day, assuming parts are available. Should not be an issue, but you never know with Ford ...

All depends on what was identified as root ca
All depends on what was identifid as root cause. We can't see the car so to say it' covered is a no go. Not trying to scare you, just not wanting to get your hopes up and then you posting "but you said so...." ;)

This will be a good test to see if they suspect a tune was on. Did you put a 3bar map on?

So I just got off the phone with the dealer here in Florida. Apparently my PTU split in half. They do not stock it and emergency ordered one from Memphis. They are hoping to have it tomorrow, worst case Friday so I can have the car back by Saturday. Looks like warranty coverage also. I commend Sun State Ford and Central Florida Lincoln for their assistance and drive to see that me and my family are taken care of. Ford roadside assistance on the other hand ... well I'll just leave that there for now.

So at 40K you had a PTU failure. How many of those miles were on a tune? Did you ever check the fluild?

I have 55k on my 13 PP SHO, and am going to change out/check my next weekend.

Really? The PTU split in half? That's incredible. I've had 4 wheel drives with transfer cases and have never seen that occur. Busted drive shafts before at the U-joints or Axles, but never the cases. Glad it's covered and try to get pics before they trash it if possible.

Yeah I'm a little floored by there description also. But when it happened it felt like somebody hit the bottom of the car with a sledgehammer. When I talk to them tomorrow I'm going to ask them to hold onto it so I can see it and get some pics.
