I am looking for a new or in very good condition used passenger side exhaust tip for a 1998. Anybody know where I can find one? I called my local Ford dealerships parts department and they were of no help.

I got one. It is not perfect but has a cool SHO history.

Years back a very well known SHO enthusiast Don Mallinson owned a 96 SHO. He put stainless steel Bullet Brand mufflers on the car and had the factory tips welded back on to the stainless steel mufflers.
He sold the car to a nice fellow who was not well equipped to be a SHO owner and I ended up with the car on a trailer for a few hundred bucks.

Fast forward a couple years. Where the muffles were welded up, the weldor person didn't use stainless wire. The welds all rusted out.
I pulled the mufflers off the car and still have them because the mufflers are actually in excellent shape. The in and the out of the ends of the muffler pipes is where all the rust is, not the tips or mufflers.

Anyhow. I got the tip. it has a back story. And I can produce the mufflers to prove it.

I'd sell the tip, it's not perfect, but I can hit it with the buffer and send you a picture I suppose.

Thanks for the post and story Eric. I had my '98's cams welded at Don's place back in the early 2000's. I am hoping to find a right tip in near perfect condition. Not sure if yours will fit that bill or not. If you think a quick buff job will do the trick I'd be willing to see a pic :)
