Any idea on what this does, found it under the passanger seat
Wow that's old! It is an EPROM chip. That is a programmed chip from the old defunct SHOshop in Huntington Beach Cali. I would not use it as they tend to bounce around and cause computer errors in the PCM. And I don't know why those snipped wires are integrated into the chip housing.
Having the same problem. Crank shaft sensor is my issue.
