You can get a widebody hellcat for about $20 grand less.

Yea, I know, and until this came out I would have said the same thing about the Hellcat.

Actually, the Hellcat comes in a Charger as well, and since I have kids...that and he Charger tops out at 204, while the Challenger only tops out at 202. :)

Still love the SHO, best car I’ve ever owned.

My friend has the Hellcat Charger and has well over 1,000 HP! And he's spent way less than the $20k difference to do it.

This is always the built vs new debate and it entirely depends on what you value. There's almost always another car out there where you could build it cheaper than buying a new one (I could buy a Chevy SS and get to 1000 hp for under the $50k difference). Your friend could easily have a Hellcat Charger with that power and spent way less than $20k to get there. Your buddy also doesn't have a vehicle that's covered by warranty. If that power breaks something it's going to quickly eat up that difference and more. There's value in a warranty and that value can vary from person to person depending on how much risk they want to take. There is some value to people in being able to buy a 9 second car and have a warranty that comes with it. Not saying that would be my choice, but I recognize there's value.

That’s me, my mod days are over. I want all stock, which is why my mouth waters at this machine.
