Well, flank, you could always do them at the hotel parking lot. That's where they're usually done...
You just named yourself for all eternity!
I assume you mean valve adjustment. Fogeddaboutit!! Over 20 years, I can't recall ANYONE who has found a valve to be far enough out of adjustment to worry about. Do the timing belt, and the water pump & CPS while you are in there, and call it a day.
I have found plenty of 15's and 16's, and a number of spit shims, but generally, unless flank has a high mileage poorly maintained SHO, he should be good to go.
you just described the vast majority of SHOs.
It's more than a job...
We'll hoist one in your name. Godspeed Sam!
I got a pile of work to do before leaving, hope to get lots of it done this weekend.
I also have lots to do, but I suspect the work will expand to fit the time allotted, so I'll be scrambling at the last minute......as usual!!
I was talking to Ricky the other day telling him about all the crap i've still got to do. Said i'll prolly be getting an alignment the morning were suppost to leave.
I think for once I am going to leave well enough alone and SHO up with a NA track car instead of attempting a complete drivetrain/fuel system swap 5 days before the Convention.
But probably not.
im going as usual
Random question, but does anyone going have an extra small or medium sized helmet a friend would be able to borrow? Should be able to verify sizing next week or so.
yes, i do
My helmet "collection" of outdated SA helmets doesn't qualify......
Tim, will you actually be there before the track day? lol
Hey you! I was there Sunday night in Dearborn!
Plan is for Sunday night again this year. This is the closest Convention since Memphis.
I'm out of the loop... do we require 2005 or 2010 helmets? I think mine is a M2000 and will need replacing. And are we still good with M helmets?
I also have the same questions regarding the helmets, and what's considered "approved" and what's not?
Also, on another matter, the ShoClub page is a little confusing as far as distinguishing between the long course track event, versus the "arm style" drag competition(s).....
Are those considered two separate events?
Are attendees able to participate in say, the drags separately, w/o having to be obligated to also do the track portion(s) of the event for that day?
Thanks for any clarification any of you may be able to provide.
Yes, they are seperate.
