Wheel studs too short by 1.016 mm

Will that be necessary for aluminum?

Wheel studs too short by 1.016 mm

Just laid hands on my custom wheel spacers from motorsport technology. They're very professional and badass double hub-centric spacers, and since nobody I know (besides you guys) cares about how gratifying it is to find someone who takes pride in making custom **** for our rides, I figured a...

Code 173 - (R,M) Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was rich - Single, Right or Rear HO2S - Fuel control

First drive of the day, warmed it up for a good 10 minutes. Code popped up when i hit the highway. Ford OBD I website lists it as: (R,M) Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was rich - Single, Right or Rear HO2S - Fuel control Swapped out the O2 sensors about 3 weeks ago, the fuel pump...

Part composition unknown. Anyone seen a new one?

Bottom layer is rubber, specs below. Top layer is woven felt - probably 0.062" thick, but the next size up is 0.125" - and it could have gotten squished over 30 years. https://www.superiorfelt.com/ Felt was stitched onto the rubber strip along with some sort of adhesive. The rubber is...

Part composition unknown. Anyone seen a new one?

Hey guys, so my car gets broken into 3 weeks back, and I order a new front passenger window. Window shows, I go in, and the guy kicks me out because he doesn't have some tool to remove the rivets in the bumpers that connect the glass to the elevator/regulator/whatever. So I had to cut the...

Wheel studs too short by 1.016 mm

*Update* @Deewelch - I've already bought wheels and tires, which should have worked just fine. They worked on paper... I've finally got a reply from MSI Racing Products: Bottom line is they won't do it for that small a run, and yes - I have already scoured the Dorman catalog. I have also...

    Has anyone ever tried...

Well... ****... Guess once I get rich off of GME I'll take care of this myself. Hire a couple kids out of MIT to CAD the whole engine and reproduce it on CNC. Maybe a little generative design action to lighten everything up a bit? I hear 3D-printed pistons are all the rage right now...

    Oil Change $$

I do Royal Purple full synthetic with fram ultra synthetic filters when I can get my hands on it. Maybe $80-100. This makes it easier too:

    Has anyone ever tried...

Just a thought, but has anyone ever tried to approach Ford to see if we can get our hands on development and testing information concerning the first couple generations of the SHO? I'd be very interested in the engine R&D myself... I poked around the website looking for a way to shoot an email...

Wheel studs too short by 1.016 mm

@luigisho - That's a big negative so far. I haven't heard back from the machine shop I approached. Maybe they don't actually do short runs? They are on instagram anyways, so maybe I'll harass them there to see. These guys: www.msirp.com

Wheel studs too short by 1.016 mm

I like overkill... Besides, I have to run spacers to make my new wheels work. Probably at least 6-7 mm, and I want plenty of thread for my peace of mind. Speaking of which, I found a place for custom spacers here www.motorsport-tech.com which seems real legit. They have a spacer-configurator...

    Looking for lower profile stuts

@black92 - How do I measure the spring - under tension I assume? How much of that spring can I lose before things start getting dicy? I'm looking into coilovers now, but they are at least a month or 2 down the road and I hate to drive on my stock rims all summer...

Replacing Fuel Rail Pulse Damper / Pressure Regulator - O-Ring Part # Needed

So on the pressure regulator side, the bottom two are actually one of those copper/rubber copper/nitrile bonded gaskets. They just broke apart when I yanked the regulator off the fuel rail. Good news, bad news - I found a replacement for the copper/nitrile gasket, but not the others. I cleaned...

I'm currently attempting to track them down individually. Here are the sizes.

Replacing Fuel Rail Pulse Damper / Pressure Regulator - O-Ring Part # Needed

Hey guys I'm *****-deep into changing my fuel injectors from stock+2 lbs, back to stock. The CCRM apparently can't cope with +2 lbs to the fuel, and I'm running through a tank of gas way too fast... Anyways, I ordered a new pulse damper and pressure regulator, and have just broke the old ones...

    Looking for lower profile stuts

The tire contacts the spring perch I believe. My strut terminology isn't up to *****, but it's the reverse-umbrella piece the bottom of the spring rests on. Raising the entire strut 1.5 - 2 inches would most likely solve the problem, but when comparing the front and rear spring perches - the...

Wheel studs too short by 1.016 mm

Due to a sudden urge of social responsibility, I have to warn readers of this post to NOT use Dorman Wheel lug studs 610-323 to replace the stock front wheel studs. I will be replacing the 610-323 studs I have already installed with something that has a correct knurl diameter. The 610-323 has a...
