Machine shop said failure was due to "metal fatigue".wow, iv never known any sho to snap a crank.. except sho shop and there 3.6L's lol

Russ you really need to lay off the Juice while boosting man. I don't care how "Fun" it is. Too much carnage.
Kind of find it a weird place for it to break, the load it applied on the crank end. Its broken near the harmonic balancer. Was the factory damper still on the car?
ive been meaning to ask where in the **** you got your hood or did you do it yourself?
Correct. I got it with the car from MikeD who got it from Toolman. It is an early CincySHO fiberglass Gen 1 Cowl hood. It's rare to find one.
Stock harmonic balancer; get better spinup on the head unit!Kind of find it a weird place for it to break, the load it applied on the crank end. Its broken near the harmonic balancer. Was the factory damper still on the car?

That information is classified.what kind of power were you making?

Post convention thrashing, backing out of garage--low rpm, no load.
It's amazing that it didn't do more damage. Normally, unless you have the same pistons I do, the pistons will run into the valves.
The only other crank I know of letting go was do to high boost levels and bad race fuel. #1 cylinder decided to diesel its way along independently of the other 5.
How and when did it happen?

Details on this process?Have the replacement gas nitrided.
Nice job! I snapped a Lightning crank down the center, running a 300 shot on top of 26 psi of Whipple. Truck went 110 in the 1/8 though, before it went ****.
