E Brake Light flashing during acceleration

Just noticed this latest SHO quirk last night. My E brake light comes on for second or two during acceleration from a stop or near stop. Brakes are good all around the car, fluid is new and not leaking. Anyone have any idea what's causing this and whether or not I should be too concerned?

The reason the fluid is low is because your pads have worn down. You'll soon need to replace them and at that time will have too much fluid in the master cylinder.

I just replaced all the pads like last month. :oogle:

And nothing seems to be leaking, so where did that fluid all go? :shrug:

If you had the MC topped off then you may be getting close to a brake line failure.

I put in like an eighth of a normal size Dot 3 bottle to top off.

The brake lines are also all new on the car.

Why does adding fluid put me at risk?

When you go to put new pads on the car you will have to compress the caliper. When you do that, you force fluid from the caliper back into the MC. When you are done, the MC might overflow.

No too much fluid is only a problem when compressing the calipers back in as it will force some out.

When I first got the car like 2 months ago, the brake lines went right away so the guy I bought it from replaced all the brakes lines and did rotors/calipers and pads on the rear. Then a few weeks after that, I took the car to a NTB to have the front brakes looked at. They replaced the front pads & rotors and serviced the front calipers. As far as I know, they did not drain/bleed the fluid from the car. Could this combination of events have anything to do with it acting funny?

If NTB serviced your calipers, there's a good chance they did not top off the reservoir after bleeding the system. Add some fluid and if the light comes back, start looking for a small leak.

I have to admit, I'm so dumb about cars and lol...I own a SHO. :bonk:

Computers though, that's a different story.

I should probably bring it back in to have them look at it.
