Taking a 777 into Korea with a cockpit full of car guys. Cheapest car looks to be a used gt500 I had no idea their used value had tanked so bad. Just no place to toss my bags. Lots of us buy odd cars to hop up and use as “airport beaters”…. 4 guys here with me 4 different opinions.

I like the sho because it’s a sleeper. Although while not the quickest around it can definitely get attention. The limiting factors are the aftermarket for a car that’s no longer produced and the power train is probably at its limits are very close in the 11:00 range.

It just seems like an interesting way to express yourself as a supporting member. Cool cockpit!

Fast is a relative term.

To me it’s way more fun to make my SHO “Taurus” fast because it’s a Taurus, and it’s not supposed to be. It’s been daily driven for five years, and can bring my whole family to a drag strip, hurt a few charger’s and mustang’s feelings, and take me to work the next day with hot coffee in the cup holder and a cooled ass.

Thanks but JUST LIKE ON HERE... that became a heated debate for about 6hrs

Yeah thats left seat of a Boeing 777. I had to black out my notepad on the yoke didn't realize I had some sensitive info on there until after I took the pic. Its cool but had rather be working in my shop.

Zpak has the idea with the coffee and ass chiller action going on. Anyone modify the seats for extreme crack ventilation yet?

There's already a airflow void in seat cushion for cooling the "ass crack".

I actually have to agree with @stripSHO here.....think FoxBody...soooooo easy to get into 8s with that platform, and for far less than what you paid for that Hellcat. However, there's oceans of both those cars out there, so where's the fun in that? Im not trying to be another one in that crowd. I personally prefer a challenge and enjoy the journey of making a car that may not be known for being fast, but has a solid potential, and seeing where it can go.

I don’t think many of us do this thinking "****/buck". I really hate that argument and just shows how simple-minded those who say that, really are. I can DEFINITELY afford a Hellcat, but no thanks...it's being done already, I'll chart a lesser known path...and maybe I won't make 8s, but I'll have a great time getting to whereever it is I'm going. There's a good chance most of us enjoy the modding "journey" more than the "destination", at least that's true for me...
I’ll add to this and say… I CANNOT afford a hellcat… lol, but def could build a Fox body, but those are both 2wd. The reality is.. it’s winter for a third of the year where I’m at, heated wheel, seats, awd, lower miles (mine is just over 50k miles) are a must. So for me this car ticked all the boxes, is decently fast to start, I can turn traction off (pp) and I’m into it with direct port meth injection a tune and lightweight fancy rims (even having wasted $ on overpriced LMS) for ~$26.5k. And though I didn’t read quite enough on these forums before buying and making my tuner choice the very reason I bought it is because this forum existed and having a smaller group of nut jobs like myself is usually a good thing … it sealed the deal for me.

Just thought I would circle back about Hellcats, real quick. I did a 60 roll against a stock one tonight and he pulled on me like I pull on Prius'. It was impressive and embarrassing.
