Looks like the flex tubing between the MAF and throttle body has developed a tear. Anyone know where to get a new one of about the same size?

No, you could take a measurement for length and inner diameter and look around but I would look at a used one.

The F-150 with tritons engines of the same years of our SHO had the same MAF (some years in alum. and some years in black plastic, until 2003) but they used a "closed system" for their cone filter. Then the rubber tube is a little bit different but it had the same diameter.

No'4 on the photo is the part. It's from a 5.4L triton. You will have to use the heat sensor hole on this tube for your PCV (if you still have one on the car). However, the jonction (no'3) between the tube and the plastic intake is probably heat welded. You can seperate the parts with a good screwdriver.

I never tryed this myself but I remarked this when I was in a search of a spare MAF. (And speaking about this, I think I will take this tube next time at scrapyard...) If you go ahead with this, don't forget the screwable clamp on no'3. F150

Many junk yards have a computer system that shows inventory at other yards nationwide. I needed a bracket for my '99 and was able to finally track one down a SHO at a yard in Joplin. They went out, removed it and shipped it for $25, so it was pretty quick and painless. Mind you, it required calling a yard that had the system, then calling several other yards around the nation to find one that hadn't scrapped their car yet and about several weeks of time but it still worked, so there is that!

There are salvage yard used parts websites on the internet that you can use to find parts as well.

Yeah, I was hoping for a new. I found a larger one online, but haven't found one just right yet. I had another from the other SHO for now. Might just break down and get a silicone tube.

Call a couple of Pick N Pulls in Victorville, they might have a couple of SHO's.

Actually I have all the yards under watch for the last number of years and am notified within a few hours when something pops in. I have had 2 x Gen3's pop up and were gone within 3 days (I was getting what I could).
Gen 1-2's pop in more frequently and stick around a while...

Next time one pops up, I'm headed with the tow hitch...

Nothing within 100 miles radius for now. I'm gonna just go NOS. Thanks!
