I know I've seen Matt post the dyno results on FB -- pretty sure it was 500. I tried searching a couple of groups over there just now and couldn't pull it up.

Never seen Matt post any SHO dyno sheet with 500 to the tire. I have seen BPD's and Mike's Flex, but not another SHO. I would love for him to post some stuff. I have seen a couple of GH turbo upgraded cars with XDi make 460 to 480 hp, but not the magic 500 hp. If he is worried about kinking rods, I get it. I would **** the tq at the bottom, and let it eat on the big end.

You have the capability BJ, but you have stated in the past you don't have any intention to push any further than the 484hp you have posted. I respect that.

Yes, he doesn’t want to blow motors. I do find it funny that LMS and Gearhead eventually came to the same conclusion in regards to power... LMS claims 450 on the stock block... GH doesn’t think much past 475..

My 484 run was on his base tune used after the install... he has refined it since and has added a bump up top.... so I’m higher than that now, just not sure how much?

In any event yes, I’m not planning on pushing more than I am today without upgraded rods/pistons... I had a conversation with Matt about it... and if I wanted to push further I would be looking at a built motor, bigger injectors, and moving the XDI60... but still be facing an issue with the trans/PTU/rdu combo....

See attached... top line is the GH turbos E30, middle line is GH turbos with 93, and I forgot what the bottom line was... 2016 Taurus SHO

So officially two SHO's with the possibility of yours, Andrew's, and Jordan's. If I had the XDI and GH turbos, I would ask Matt to get after that 500 mark personally.

I’m sure Jordan is there if he gets it on a dyno... maybe Andrew too...

My 484 was with 17psi... they are at 20psi I think...

EDIT: There have been others who have surpassed 500awhp... just not on the forums.

Matt kindly upgraded my tune to the limit he feels comfortable with on gas so I'll post back on the seat of the pants difference after some miles are put on it.

I believe those dyno charts above are the ones I previously saw on FB and which compelled me to get the cooler, tune, turbos and pump from Matt. So glad I did. Great service and he is sincerely invested in his customer's drivetrain safety and this platform.

The sho should have came stock with at least 400

Although many would agree with this, as has been discussed previously, the primary reason(s) why the SHO platform was *NOT* released at 400chp (or higher) was entirely due to the National Insurance industry going on record with FMC that they would not be able to market/sell the Taurus platform as a "family sedan" but rather would be required to market it only as performance vehicle.

Which has a myriad of far reaching implications for both FMC, as well as the individual owners, alike.

Plus Ford didn't want their family car to be faster then their pony car right off the lot.

They did the same thing to the Thunderbird TC and SC back in the day.

Going to Dyno day Saturday. Wouldn't be surprised if it puts down 550awhp. Hard telling until I'm actually on the dyno. Not worried about the motor at all. Worried about the trans as she been funky a couple times but just gonna send it boys

Looking forward to seeing this! Good luck with the trans!

Can they (Matt and/or Brad) add in some torque management without killing your topend power to help save that trans?
I've got about everything I can to save the trans. Everything is just so strained as is basically I'm just on the search for the weakest link lol

I know from other threads overfilling the trans by a pint is a 'thing.' Was this to protect it under heavy load or was to stop shuddering or other issues?

Pretty sure it was to help from fluid starvation on launches. I overfill my trans also
