I left New Jersey Thursday 3 p.m. took my time stopped at a couple places like the Grand Canyon for two days ended up in California back home. car ran pretty good and fuel was decent running about 26 to 27 miles per gallon on the worst time was running 23 miles per gallon with a headwind but on the flat Plains no head wind I was running 32 miles per gallon never thought it would reach that was getting 475 miles to a full tank.20180501 192145

Not really running any mods just a cool air intake and the oil catch can I did put some additive in the oil and trans. Supposed to be fantastic 16 oz bottle cost $45 so it better work good

Sounds like fun, I've been across a few times, once during the summer driving a 1972 Firebird with no air conditioning an leaking oil the whole way, for reasons I won't get into, I made that run from Spokane Washington to Virginia Beach in about 48 hours straight through, that was a horrible trip.

As someone who has willingly an happily bought many additives over the years, my guess is you would have got much better results had you used that $45 for a tank of gas. My guess is, the fact you where only going 65 mph had more then anything to do with your gas mileage. I tend to run her a bit harder, I usually run around 80 mph an get about 28 mpg.

I'm giving very serious consideration to driving to Texas for an In an Out Burger, LOL I would be on the road if I had a co-pilot.

My dad retired to SC and I've driven a few times. I average around 25mpg with a Livernois 3bar 93 tune driving as fast as will not get me tickets(well most of the time). Love the multi contour seats on long trips

How are you guys getting such high gas mileage!? I can get about 25mpg highway but it definitely dips down to 22-23 with mixed driving. I'm not tuned or anything yet though (afraid to do it with the extended warranty).

I have an extended warranty. If they really want to they can tell, but for normal stuff it's mostly a non issue. If you window the block then yeah you are prob in for a fight. Regardless you should still flash back to stock if bringing to the dealer for work as the techs are looking for everything to function as stock anyway.

Every car I have tuned has gotten better mileage IF I drive it relatively normal. Beat on a Prius and you won't get great mileage.

As far as mileage according to the car I average a little over 18 typically but spend 2 hrs in NY traffic commuting to work. Was back to stock for almost a month and the mpg average was falling with the same typical driving, if anything my foot was less in it than when tuned. For comparison I averaged over 24mpg when commuting in a 09 Altima 2.5 CVT, although it should be noted that I drove that car like a grandpa since it was too slow to have fun in anyway. I think 18 in an AWD car with an extra 1000 lbs and 200+ hp more is pretty good. Also I always use 93 octane tuned or not.

I have to apologize to everyone, I got my numbers screwed up, I got of average of 19 mpg at 80 mph, I am not sure how or why I typed what I did, As I said I run pretty hard most of the time so I have no idea what I would get if I drove like a normal person. Once again sorry for the incorrect post. Have a great weekend.
