I am at my wit's end trying to get the timing belt off my ATX. I used the C-clamp like in the SPP directions. I can get it as tight as I possibly can, until I can't physically turn the screw any further, but I still can't get the allen wrench through. It actually went in further in the completely uncompressed position than I can get it when I compress it.

Am I doing something wrong or is something broken?

you are likely compressing it a little too far - take a flashlight and shine it in there so you can see when the holes line up, or else put the allen wrench up there and push on it as you tighten down the C-clamp.

make sure you do not have too large of allen wrench - the hole in the pin is a little smaller than the hole in the housing as I recall.

That was exactly it! Thanks.
