SHO - PLX SM-AFR-> DM-5 (previously M-300)
STi - PLX SM-AFR-> DM-100

I've dealt with all the units mentioned above and there's nothing out there currently that interests me over the PLX stuff.

I have an Autometer.

Do they make WB setups?

I think most WB packages use Bosch sensors anyways.

I had the AutoMeter C2 setup and absolutely loved it. They are one of the more expensive setups though.

Innovate LC1 in 2 cars so far, going to try the SLC DIY in the next one. Pretty much all the WBO2 use the same sensors anyways, the differences are all in the controller. Both are cheaper than the AEM, but neither have a gauge included. I like not having a gauge, gauge pods look ricey to me, but if you want a gauge then the cost goes up.

You can't really beat the AEM on price, but it's nowhere near as accurate/quick reacting as a better controller.

Thats the other wideband im looking at is a Innovate LC1. So your happy with that wideband? I thought AEM would be a nice wideband.

Look up the Innovate MTX , all the electronics are in the gauge instead of a separate box. I havnt tested it alot cause its in the shogun , but so far so good.

Its pretty cheap too.

I regularly recommend to Suburu guys around here not to get the Innovate stuff due to the wild ass readings and regular need to calibrate.

I went with PLX for the USB output so you can easily run it with the Tweecer. The AEM is only analog and will be hard to connect.

Only need to calibrate it when you install and every 6-12 months after that. I don't get how other companies (like AEM) use the same sensor and say a calibration isn't required. I like calibrating, lets me know I'm getting the proper reading.

As for the wild readings, the Innovate responds so fast that it gets readings from individual exhaust pulses. You can adjust the settings in Logworks to get a smoother signal, if that's what you want.

I like the Innovate, yes. The only reason I want to try the SLC DIY controller is because it's substantially cheaper, and the only feature I need is analog and/or digital output, and accuracy. I switched away from the AEM one because of strange readings, and since then haven't had any problems with the Innovate.

Don't forget about the 3 month recap after initial install.

All NTK and Bosch wideband lambda sensors incorporate a "calibration resistor" which is installed at the factory. Some systems read these resistors and therefore do not require an air calibration. Some don't.

I believe there used to be a time when Bosch wouldn't warranty sensors that were used with the LC-1 controller due to not following Bosch's spec sheet on the controller.

In the 7 years I have been tuning cars, I've never had an issue with the controllers that don't need calibration regardless of drastic altitude changes or time. I haven't blown up a car yet.

There has been more than a few occasions where tuning sessions have been cancelled due to the Innovate stuff from them not holding a calibration. This is from my experience and another local Subie tuner friend.

I highly doubt it's keeping up with exhaust pulses at anything but idle.

So does anyone here strongly not reccomend the AEM UEGO?

The only issue I've had with them is logging. If you don't have a good serial to USB cable and the correct drivers, it'll give odd readings and occasionally stop logging.

I just put out a offer on Ebay for a Innovate LC-1 wideband. I might pick up the LC-1.
