The chrome on the unlock button and the center strip is showing wear. Think warranty would cover this?

Defects in material and workmanship are covered for 3yrs or 36000 miles. Wear and tear is covered for 12mos or 12,000 miles. :salute:

Yes - as long as they don't claim your using some acidic cream on your hand that is ruining the surface...

^ This. I wrote service for Jaguar back when Ford owned them. Their standard warranty was different at 4 yrs. / 50k; however, the 12/12 for wear/tear items still held true for them as well. We'd have customers come in with worn leather seat bolsters and want replacement at 25k or so and we couldn't do it.

I worked with a Toyota dealer, for a little while back in the 90's, and they(the factory) wouldn't cover anything under wear and tear. The dealer would have to cover the parts themselves, if they wanted to keep good customer relations. That was one, of many reasons, why I determined never to buy a Toyota vehicle. :salute:

That and it keeps our money in North America, fine if it's a Toyota built in NA but if it's from accross the sea. No Thanks. To many jobs are evaporating here for me to justify sending more money than I do to other Nations bank accounts.
