He's in Cornwall, ON. Where in Quebec are you? I'm frequently in the Sherbrooke area.
On the South Shore of Montreal... Actually on the 10 direction Sherbrooke (Chambly)... I go to Napierville, have you ever been ?

Shonut(Joshua) just anwered me back and told me he has some pads for our SHO, but didn't seem to have rotors. The pads he has to offer are Carbotech in 4 different options... Since I already have the EBC redstuff ceramic in the front, I will most likely complete with Carbotech ceramic pads for the back... The front rotors seem ok still, but the rear are scratcehd, so I might go with OEM rotors directly from my dealer... I was quoted 120$... but no shipping, no customs and in stock... might be the easiest route for the moment but I am still opened for suggestions.
Thanks!

Can anyone who has tried both on the SHO compare EBC Redstuffs with OEM PP brakes pads?

I just received a full set of EBC red pads for my G8 GT. Am also installing Stop Tech front pads and Power Slot rotors on my Brick. Rears on Flex will be upgraded also.

Hopefully install of both will happen within a week.... Will report my opinions on both.

The EBC reds on G8 should compare to SHO, so if stopping is better, you will all know!

Issue with G8 currently is Cam package and ported/polished/CNC heads make for a touchy vehicle when coming to a stop. Seems over-cammed for stock converter... but MAN is it quick!!!!1

Hi Bob - I've run Porterfield R4S on my 2002 Maxima with very good success - they were far better than the OEM pad in terms of friction, were easy on the rotors and the dust they produced wiped right off the rim. I realize you already have the Stop Tech pads in hand . . . not sure how they compare but I can recommend the Porterfields.

I received my rear pads from Sho-Nut performance... Carbotech ceramic. They will be a good match with the front pads EBC redstuff ceramic since they were not available yet for the rear. I am now just waiting for the rear camber bolts to take advantage to do the adjustment at the same time as the brake job. Perhaps next week I will have a car that can brake better than now, because now I have too much power for the brakes!
BTW, anyone knows what can be done for front wheels alignement, because they are a bit out of specs... Thanks!
Steve

Josh was mentioning that he has front pads in stock for the 2010+ (from street to track) and they are now listed and available for purchase on his website.

I would have ordered with him if at first I wouldn't have ordered the EBC's... It is only because EBC's were out of stock for the rear pads but had already delivered the front pads that I needed to look for rear pads again... It took Josh less than 2 weeks between payment and delivery at my door and the price was fair.

My G8's EBC's (all 4 wheels) work great, but are very dusty! Much more so than stock G8 pads or Stock Flex Pads. Haven't drivent the Stop Tech pads installed on Flex to tell how much brake dust I get.

HOWEVER...Stopping is much more important than dirty wheels!

Seems to be the necessary trade-off ....
good performance = lots of dust.
not so good performance = little dust.

If anyone is aware of how we can have both good performance and no/little dust -- I'm all ears.:)

Holy F*** Bob, I was thinking $2k possibly even $3k in a difficult market but $8k to $12k!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like your style man but that's some green just for stoppers.
I think I'll just drive a little slower and avoid the track time; screw the CCM -- I'll make do without until my #'s come in.
