So i sold my MR2 today and picked up this SHO. Its a 1994 MTX (My First MTX!!)164k. Needs a little bit of work has some weird problem where it just cuts out almost feels like the cars not getting enough fuel. The CEL pops up occasionally as well. Tomorrow im gonna pull the codes and try and figure out whats wrong. Hopefully its nothing to big. Otherwise the cars in great shape even has new plugs, wires, and valve cover gaskets!! Anyway heres some pics.

Looks good ryan mine use to cut out when I engaged the clutch until I found a loose ground right next to the starter I pulled it off and cleaned it and reinstalled the bolt with a lil thread lock and has ben fine ever since it also felt the same way almost like the fp cut out.

I'll have to put up some pics when my new one gets down to the shop on Monday

Congrats, Ryan
Looks pretty decent. Get that rust taken care of, and stay on top of it. AYK, rust is the killer in NE.

Thats for sure it was the main reason i sold the MR2 just too much rust to deal with.

But i must say it felt amazing to finally drive a MTX. What a difference even with the engine cutting out it felt awesome. :omgsho:

nice red sho!! i know this sounds stupid but you may just want to look at the battery cables...our 91 had a big problem when we first got it because the cables were ran kinda weird and when the motor mount broke the engine was rubbing on them and shorting out the car...something simple to look at.

Nice score. :thumb: That is exactly the combo I have, same seats, too (for now, soon to be red/black). Hope the cutting out issue is an easy one to find... Have fun with that MTX :naughty:

For those not in the know .... 92 pwnz joo

Yes I did !!! Early build date with a rod shifter. Fire engine red that had to be wet sanded and buffed but shined like no other. Kept up with Mustangs on the highway with ease .....

Looks pretty good. Too bad that quarter panel rust is from a previous accident. Might be tough to repair correctly.
