i recently bought a 1995 mtx 3.0 sho 162,*** miles on it ... cruising today and red oil light popped on and before i knew it loud clunking noise!!! Had car towed back (50 miles) blown engine....so i guess my question is will a 3.2 engine bolt up to my 3.0 tranny without any major mods?and if so what do i have to change over??? The reason for this question is because i cant find any 3.0 engines anything short of a 600 mile roadtrip...

the first sho you buy is great till the first parts you have to buy and labor you do lol

Is fixing the motor too expensive?
You will need special motor mounts for the swap and a few modifications to your oil pan area sensors.
Take a close look at your throw out bearing and clutch pressure plate fingers while it is apart.
Look for a 3.0 on this forum. You have a range from 1989 to 1995. You may be able to drive your new motor home in a car.

the block of the 3.0 vs the 3.2 are virtually identical. so yes it will boly right up, but if you do a search on the forum for "3.2 swap" you will fnd a TON of info on the subject.. I believe there's actually a few step-by-step write-up's with parts lists on here too... Welcome to the forum btw :thumb:

What are the chances of getting another rod bearing in there (I understand the pan can be removed easily) and driving it to a reputable place that will have the 3.0 available. It depends a little on how long it ran with the oil light on (after your bearing went). If you got an assortment of used bearings and used the lower halves (the uppers wear first), you may be able to nurse it along that way.
