Here are a couple shots of my SHO that I picked up Tuesday. Nearly all the bells and whistles grace this silver beast that was offered. Did anyone else who ordered one in advance notice how their name (first initial, last name) was on the window sticker??? Thought that was kinda cool myself. I'll be going to the get the windows tinted next week and I'm looking forward to changing my plates too. Those were off the wife's Explorer we traded in. There are NO dogs going in this car. My two German Shepherds have their own car, the '99 SHO. Also note that the car is almost taller than my Lightning. :nut: Least the SHO doesn't scrape bottom just leaving my driveway. The Lightning is making its "mark" all over town, everywhere I go.

That first picture doesn't even look real. I know the Lightning is lowered, but it really shows just how big the new Taurus is.

If I could have that in my driveway and know it's mine.. I would definetely have to take time out of work to bond and I'd be all over it every day.. Going for drive after drive playing with stuff..
Do you have any plans for performance?

Nice ride.

BTW: I'm new here. I tried making a thread, but I guess a mod rejected it. How come? It was a thread about Cinnamon and Green SHO's.

Wait until I can get a pic tomorrow, I'll show ya how the "small" the 2010 Taurus really is. :laugh_ti:

As for hopping up stuff on it, I'll have to wait and see. I know the on-board "nanny" will catch any electronic upgrades to the computer. So, when I do decide on parts they will have to be able to be put back to stock. Such as a bolt on exhaust system, cold air intake, etc. I still may toss an SCT on there but I won't be going hog wild. Especially when I work around performance products all day long and will probably be seeing new stuff at SEMA this year for it. I'm gonna be spending more time and money on my supercharged Gen 3 and the Lightning. And I know everyone is going to want to know how the 2010 and blown Gen 3 compare. :naughty:

Sure thing, boss. These things take me about a minute to do in MS paint. The hard part is coming up with a witty caption!

I developed a dislike for silver about 20 years ago when everyone was getting it. That changed a few months ago when my buddy got his F-150 in silver. I really liked the Ingot Silver. Your SHO also looks really good with it. I'm adding it to my photo album of SHOs.

Awesome! The Silver was my third choice, and it was a hard decision to make.

Now you can throw the truck away because the car will be faster and it can carry a pizza better too! :)

I don't think that will EVER happen!:laugh_ti: And there ain't gonna be no food in this car brother! :naughty:

Thanks for all the compliments guys! Black would have been my second choice, as my other 2 SHOs now are black. Wish I woulda kept my silver Gen 3 I had.:fit: BTW Kirk, you ever decide on a price on that exhaust system yet??

NICE! :thumb:

I really like that color. For me between black, white, and silver it would be really hard to decide. The silver looks alot better than I though

I still want to try a few things.. and get it to the track, the issue has been that we run wednesday and fridays up here and both days this past week were raining like a son of a gun..

I wass informed that there is a special track rental this coming friday in NY (Lebanon Valley) so Im going to take friday off and see what I can get done.

Also finishing up a tune for the car, worked on it all day yesterday and have to do some more data logging today but it was nice to get some wheel spin for a change.. Should be interesting. People say that it seems much faster but I cant tell, all ive been doing to 0-80moh runs all the time so im getting used the way the car feels.

Color for me was a story all in itself. At first I figured a Green one, cool color and incase they decided to drop it like in the past it was a good choice. Then the AWA said well everything you have is Red and Black why change? Cant fool with good logic!!!! My other favorite was the silver, silver cars with tinted windows plain and simple look BAD ASS.. Black too is right up there but I know im far too busy and LAZY to keep it clean!! The Blue is ok but I dont care for "old man Blue", white cars are nice too but i dont like pearl in my white. and the Chestnut IMO is BUT UGLY.

If Ford really wanted to sell these like wild fire all they have to do is paint it the New Blue F-150 color!!!! That color is the best color on a car that I have see in a LONG time.

I totally agree with you there. Blue Flame Metallic is an awesome color, especially on an SVT Raptor. On the new SHO I think I would want a bit darker blue metallic, like Kona Blue, which is a new color on the 2010 Mustang. It's got a super deep blue pearl. I even did a photoshop of how a Sonic Blue/Blue Flame color would look on a 2010: http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=99121&highlight=sonic+blue+sho

Nice SHO though SHO U UP. The 2010 is def a big beast of a car though. It practically dwarfs my Crown Vic when next to each other except my car has just a few extra inches in length.

I would love to see a black cherry. Chrysler had that on the New Yorker back in the 80s and I also saw it on a hot rod Model T I saw a few weeks ago at a car show. "Old Man Blue"... yep, that pretty much describes that color. I didn't really check out the Atlantic Green, guess it's the NASCAR in me. A really dark blue would be cool too. I got Tuxedo Black. The metal flake has a rainbow effect in really bright sunlight.

I know, I know. Looks like the sun is against me now and i won't be able to get a good pic like I did yesterday at about 2:00-ish. I'll try here in a bit, but it may be Tuesday before I can get the pic I want. There just isn't enough time in the day. :frown:

They do have a Cinnamon Metallic offered that's a kinda like black cherry, but not as dark. I've only seen one SHO in this color so far and it was a preproduction car.

I've seen a Cinnamon one in the lot at West Herr, it looks more brown to me. One thing I've noticed about the SHO colors, you need some really bright sunlight to appreciate them. The Red Candy looses it's appeal to me in subdued light. That's why I ended up choosing Tuxedo Black.
