ok guys a question about operation. My pad locks the doors, lights up,lights the interior, but does not unlock the driver door or anything else. I am using the code on the box and the trunk. It is my understanding that even if the PO made a personal code the factory code would work?
    Could I have a bad module/keypad ?

I've look in every spot for my code and it is nonexistant. And when I opened up my module it looked very different than the pic posted.

    Deja Vu.

All my cars have had it on the box itself and a few have had a sticker on the inside of the trunk. If you cant find the code and cant figure it out by looking inside it at the pins then the next option would be to replace the box with a different one that has the code on it. Buy a used one here on the forum or grab one at a JY.

Turns out the box is different for my 91 than its for my 94 which is the one i couldnt find the code. I went to a salvage yard yesterday and got one out of a sable with keyless entry. It had a code on it and now it works just fine. Thanks for the input.

My keyless entry stopped working. How do you diagnose if it's the module or the keypad? The key fob still works.

Will it be on the top of the box or on the side?

My key pad lights, the 7-9 combo will lock the doors but the factory code does not unlock the door. Any ideas why not. The code I am using is the one one the card in the glove box as well as on the module under the dash so I am prety certain it is the correct code. Any ideas???

What year is your car? I believe that the original code still works when a new one is programmed in, but I may be wrong.

Original code should always work, you can program new ones in but the original cannot be erased IIRC. The module should be in the trunk behind the back seat. The PO of my 95 kept telling me the keyless entry didn't work with the code he had. After looking at the module in the trunk, I came to find out that his code was wrong and the CORRECT code was ON the module in the trunk and it worked perfect.

    keypad not working

Sorry, it is a 2002 Taurus SEL. The module is under the dash to the left of the brake pedal and the code on the module matches the card in the glove box. Also, the key fob works just as it should.

I have a '11 SHO. I have the key pad and the only thing I can get to work is when I touch the key pad it will unlock the drivers door. The code doesn't work, opening trunk, locking doors etc doesn't work. I took it to my local Ford service department and they have no idea why it doesn't work. Any one else have a problem?

I have a '94 SHO...is there a listing somewhere that details all the functions of the door keypad?

I'd like to see that all in one place if at all possible. :thankyou:

Are you looking for a description as in the owner's manual, or as in the service manual?
